Mark R. McQueen, Chair
Mark McQueen is President & CEO of Wellington Financial LP, a Toronto-based specialty finance firm. He completed his studies at the University of Western Ontario in 1988, following which he worked as an executive assistant and advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada. In 1993 he joined a Canadian chartered bank, serving in both corporate and investment banking roles until 2000. Mr. McQueen was managing director and head of technology investment banking of an independent investment bank from January 2000 until December 2004 when he joined Wellington Financial on a full-time basis. He serves on the board and executive committee of the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association, is a Governor of the Sunnybrook Foundation, and is a member of the Investment Committee of The University of Western Ontario endowment. He is also a past member of the board of governors of the University of Western Ontario, and a former director of several TSX-listed companies.
Jeremy Adams
Jeremy Adams holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Western Ontario. He has worked in various communications and policy roles for both the public and private sector, assuming progressively more senior positions over the course of his career. He has provided advice to clients on a range of topics, including economic and health policy, and government-stakeholder relations. Mr. Adams is also experienced in project management.
G. Mark Curry
Mark Curry is Chairman of Revmar Inc., an Investment consulting firm located in Toronto. Mr. Curry has wide experience in investment consulting in Toronto and New York. He is a director of Canadian public and private companies and holds a Bachelor of Arts & Economics degree from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario, Ivey School of Business.
Jim Ginou
Jim Ginou is the City of Toronto appointee. Mr. Ginou is Chairman and CEO of Art Printing Company of Toronto and brings with him a wealth of volunteer experience in the educational, charitable, political and hospitality sectors.
Mr Ginou has served on several boards including the Toronto Raptor’s Foundation, the Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation Board and the the George Brown College Foundation. He also served as Chairman of Ontario Place Corporation and the Finance Committee of the 2008 Toronto Olympic Bid Committee. Mr. Ginou was a member of the TPA’s Board of Directors from 1999 to 2004.
Jan Innes
Jan Innes is the Provincial appointee. Ms Innes is Vice President, Public Affairs for Rogers Communications. She has over 25 years of private and public sector communications experience. She has served on a number of non-profit boards and currently sits on the board of Directors of the Toronto International Film Festival. Ms. Innes holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto.
Robert Poirier
Robert Poirier, who holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Ryerson, is currently the Managing Director at State Street Global Services responsible for developing the alternative institutional investment market in Canada, the United States, Latin America and Asia. Prior to this he held senior financial services roles at Bell Canada and Bank of Montreal. Mr. Poirier also acted as Senior advisor to members of the Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce from 1992 until 1999.
Sean L. Morley
Sean L. Morley brings with him experience in law, policy development and public infrastructure. During nearly four years as senior policy advisor in the Government of Canada, Mr. Morley provided strategic and policy advice on the content and implementation of government initiatives and legislation to the Minister of Education and Training, and to the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities. Mr. Morley is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Craig Rix
Craig Rix holds a bachelor of laws from the University of Windsor, a master of arts in public policy and administration, and a bachelor of arts with honours from McMaster University. He is a partner with the law firm of Hicks Morley where he works out of their Toronto offices. His areas of practice include labour and employment advocacy, public policy advocacy and strategic planning and governance, representing employers in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Rix's professional and community affiliations include the boards of directors of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. He is also on the advisory board of The Dominion Institute and a member of the Ontario Economic Summit Steering Council.
Colin D. Watson
Colin D. Watson is a member of the Board of Directors of Louisiana Pacific Corp, Telesat Canada and COM DEV International Ltd. He chairs the TPA's Audit Committee, Telesat Canada’s Audit Committee and Louisiana Pacific's Compensation Committee. Mr Watson was President and CEO of Rogers Cablesystems (1979 - 1996), Spar Aerospace (1996 - 2002) and Vector Aerospace (2003 - 2005). He holds a BASc (Mech Eng) from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from the Ivey Business School, Western University.
